A year long record of the wild flowers and plants growing in verges on her way to work, from Bexhill to the Conquest
Hospital.The images were shown together with a poem, The Taxonomer’s Girl by poet Kay Syrad, commissioned by Mary to complement the visual work. The panels also feature plant names and extracts of text providing information about the inherent properties of the plants. The images have been on display in the interior of Stagecoach buses on routes 711 and 712 (Folkestone to Eastbourne) since September 2005.Funded by Rother District Council, East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust and Stagecoach.
